Food Pantry

Buda United Methodist Church operates a food pantry that assists approximately 400 families per month. Our goal is to provide nutritious food choices for families and individuals experiencing food insecurity. We serve zip codes 78610 and 78640 due to our smaller size but will not turn away anyone needing food.  Monetary donations can be given through our online giving page. Non-perishable food donations can be arranged by contacting the church office at (512) 295-6981 or (512) 917-9072. Volunteers are welcome and always appreciated. The best way to register is through the Hays County Food Bank Volunteer Website. Our site is listed amongst the many opportunities throughout our county,  giving those needing service hours the most flexible choices of when, where, and how often  you serve.

Our service opportunities at Buda UMC are Monday through Saturday and involve  picking up food, preparing food for distribution, and distributing food. Having a food handling certification is very helpful but not required. If you would like to know more about safe food handling you may visit this site.
