CHURCH LADIES
The phrase “Church Ladies” may bring to mind mature women who bring casseroles to potluck dinners, and perhaps keep track of people’s attendance. Church Ladies may be thought of as uptight, smug, and pious.
While the women of the church still bring casseroles to potluck dinners, we are so much more than that. We are involved in study, mission work, prayer and many important positions in the church.
We also enjoy fellowship and having fun.
Theme
Our theme for the retreat is “Growing Together.” 1 Corinthians 3:7, “neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.”
Facilitator
Deborah E. Giles Webster is a devoted servant of Christ with a passionate heart for building the Kingdom of God. Her studies at Prairie View A&M University and the University of Texas have prepared her to find joy in helping others and is committed to sharing the love and light of God wherever she goes. With a heart for people and a passion for God’s love, she uses every opportunity to inspire faith and hope. Her life’s purpose is to inspire faith, hope and transformation through service and compassion.

Saturday – Rooted in Christ – Flourishing in Faith
7:00 a.m. – Rise-Shine-Give God the Glory
7:30 a.m. – Morning Devotional
8:00 a.m. – Breakfast and Fellowship
9:30 a.m. – Session 1 – Grow Spiritually
11:30 a.m. – Break and Lunch
2:00 p.m. – Session 2 – Planted in Love – Growing in Grace
4:00 p.m. – Planting Seeds and Free Time
6:00 p.m. – Dinner
8:00 p.m. – Evening Prayer and Devotional; Grow relationally (Building Unity, Trust and Encouragement)
Sunday – Together We Grow Stronger
7:00 a.m. – Rise-Shine-Give God the Glory
8:30 a.m. – Breakfast
9:30 a.m. – Clean Cabins and Common Areas
10:00 a.m. – Closing Worship with Communion
11:00 a.m. – Depart to Serve
Who Should Attend
All women of the church and community are welcome. Invite your friends and have a weekend of fun, fellowship and spiritual renewal.
Suggested Donation:
- $130 for Friday through Sunday
- $50 for Saturday only attendance (includes dinner)
- Partial and full scholarships are available.

Registration Forms are available online or in the Narthex. If you pay by check, please make your check payable to Buda UMC and note it is for the Ladies Retreat. Registration and payment must be complete by Sunday, March 8, 2026. You can also pay online using this link.
